A Heartfelt Cripps Barn Wedding | Rosie + Dan
Rosie & Dan married at the brand new Shustoke Cripps Barn with a wonderful gathering of their friends and family. I was absolutely delighted to be Rosie & Dan’s Cripps Barn Wedding Photographer. These two were enthralled with each the whole day through and barely stopped grinning with joy which completely shows in their photographs.
My approach when photographing a wedding is always to let events unfold and to let the couple completely be themselves in front of the camera. My aim is to try and capture the relationship and dynamic between a husband and wife so that when they see their photographs for the first time they totally recognise themselves and the energy that they share. Rosie & Dan’s photographs although may seem at times to be staged are completely genuine. The image of Dan kneeling to put Rosie’s shoe on (no need to mention the reference) was a moment in time just before we went outside into the woods. Rosie wasn’t able to bend down due to her dress and so Dan helped her out. The light and their pose was perfect, they didn’t even know I’d come through the doorway. A total Goddess moment. Such a wonderful couple and a marvellous day.
Cripps & Co began their barn weddings in the Cotswolds back in the 1990’s. The family owned and ran company bought and renovated a run down barn near Bibury. Since then they’ve bought and renovated various barns around the country all of them with an informal and relaxed vibe and atmosphere. Many of their venues include free camping and amazing food sourced locally. I highly recommend checking them out if you’re planning on having your wedding in The Cotswolds or further afield.
